After taking photos for the south-west based Poltimore Festival, in 2020, I was thrilled to assist the client in rebranding the festival to a new local, unique and bright approach. I decided to take an illustration-based approach with the design, emphasising the locally-based story that led to the development of the event. This was a brilliant opportunity to create a consistent concept, the initial main assets, as well as an animation!
This was one of my first animation projects, and I became aware of how critical video can be in amplifying a campaign - especially one based around an exciting music festival. Through this project, I felt closer to understanding why certain formats, colours and layouts need to be used for certain campaigns. For me, the challenge is in really making sure I understand and execute what the brief asks for, and this attention-to-detail is imperative in ensuring client satisfaction.
